Mother Teresa participating in the fight against injustice
The injustice that was in the world that Mother Teresa was fighting against was mainly poverty. Poverty is when one does not have enough basic needs to survive properly and must do all they can to survive. Poverty is to be poor and to be poor is to be discarded, forgotten, and alienated from the rest of the world to suffer.
Mother Teresa thought that poverty was wrong and that people should do something to fix it and decided to take action help the poor people of the world. To do this she had to first take a small step in her life by leaving the convent of nuns to go and join the poor and homeless on the streets. She joined the poor and homeless in the streets of India. This was very hard for her as she had to give up a life where she had all she needed to a life where she had nothing. Despite having nothing at all, Mother Teresa still gave whatever she had to the poor and helped them whenever she could.

Mother Teresa knew how to teach, as she was a teacher when she was a nun and she decided to teach the children whose families did not have enough money to pay for education. She taught them for free. She thought that by teaching these young people, they might one day rebuild a future for themselves, a better one,
During these many years, she set up many organisations that help the extremely poor and needy. These organisations were very small and poor but always helped the people whenever it could just like Mother Teresa. After some years, many people, including other nuns, saw what these organisations and what Mother Teresa was doing and they volunteered to help. The organisations provided needs for the poor: food for them to eat, water for them to drink, clothes for them to wear, shelter from the rain and much more.

One of the most fantastic things that the organisation, where Mother Teresa personally worked at, was caring for the sick and healing their wounds. She was skilled in the ways of being a doctor and helped many people. Other organisations housed the orphans and took care of them. Mother Teresa’s organisations began to expand and grow bigger and bigger and it started to help more and more people. It soon opened in many other countries all over the world to help the poorest of the poor.
Teresa’s methods of finding food were to beg people not to throw away their food scraps but give them to the poor. She also wore only very cheap clothes to fit in with the poor. Her activities in the world were so great that it changed the lives of millions of people.
Her activities against injustice could not be matched. She gave up her life to helping the poor. She is a perfect role model of what we should do to help the poor.
